1 – Water Base Fluids

A – Oil Contain Emulsions –

  • Soluble Oils , ( generation 1 & 2 products )
  • Regular Semi Synthetic Oils ( generation 3 & 4 products ) ( Micro / Macro )
  • Ester Type Semi Synthetic Oils ( generation 4 & 5 products ) ( Nano / Micro / Macro )

B - Oil Free Synthetic –

  • Pure Synthetic Solutions
    ( Transparent / green colour solutions)

2 – Neat / Straight Oils – (No Water)

  • A – Petroleum Base Neat oils
  • B - Vegetable base Neat Oils

Water Base Metal working Fluids - concentrate / oil

1 – about coolant concentrate

  • concentrate oil formulated by 22 to 28 additives complex
  • major imported additives are made for speciality lubricants industries
  • some of special composition like lubricity additives , esters ,emulsifiers , bio additives , rust inhibitors , extreme pressure , smoke control , coupling stability …. Additives are required control blending for uniform concentrate output.
  • oil concentrate colour is depended on base oil colour , may be some of colour variation in grade to grade
  • always make concertation as per recommendation ( 4 % to 7 %)
  • our product is oil in water , so take water first and add oil in water

Water Base Metal working Fluids - water details

1 - water condition –

  • normally 92 to 96 % water composition in emulsion , so water is major part
  • maximum problems create from water side , so always control water quality
  • water always containing inorganic salts and hard contain like calcium , chloride , magnesium , sulphate etc… , so water hardness & conductivity get higher

2 – problems from water condition –

  • problems causes by water with high hardness & chloride
  • oil loss & oil split by bad water quality , oil separation formation
  • tool life issue , sticky residues , blocks filters ,
  • rust or corrosion on job part & machine , bio stability problems

3 – recommended water quality / parameters -

  • mostly d.m. water / r.o. water is suitable for cutting oils
  • normally required water (a) hardness up to 60 ppm , (b) ph 6.5 to 7.5 , (c) chloride up to 10 ppm
  • water storage in cool & dry place , dust free container , bacteria free storage

Water Base Metal working Fluids -

1 – about emulsion –

  • emulsions are mixtures of 2 or more liquids that normally do not mix in.
  • emulsions are comprised in 2 parts
    A. dispersed phase - oil
    b. dispersion medium - water
  • emulsions made by 3rd important part ( surfactant emulsifier ring )
    a. emulsifier ring cover 2 part of oil & water
    b. if emulsifier ring brakes then oil gets separate from water
  • emulsifier large size ring gives a macro emulsion droplet
  • emulsifier small size ring gives a micro emulsion droplet
